NRG Solar / Payson Unified School District

The installation of solar panels here at Payson Unified School District is part of an NRG Solar initiative to build solar generating systems at select schools in Arizona. Through these creative public-private partnerships, NRG Solar generates clean, renewable solar energy that reduces electricity costs and helps Arizona harness its bountiful solar resources to meet the state’s growing energy needs.

Photovoltaic (PV) panels in these solar pavilions convert sunlight directly to electricity while providing educators with real-world opportunities to teach applied science and technology to Arizona students so they might someday contribute to the development of America’s clean energy future.
